Landsdowne Park New Movie Theater!

Hello readers,

Guess what! I went to the new Lansdowne Park VIP theater (Which opened Friday [Yesterday]) and it was amazing! The whole theater is very fancy and really cool, and it has 3 popcorn stands (On each floor), one candy bar (in the VIP), a frozen yogurt shop, and an arcade! The theater has 10 screens (4 VIP, 5 Normal, and 1 Ultra AVX D-box screen!) I would like to say "thank you" to Shawn D (Manager of Cineplex in Eastern Ontario), who gave me an awesome tour of the new theater and as well two free movie tickets! Thank you Shawn!

Now it's time to show you the interior of the building! Let's start off with the first floor, which has an arcade (Xsacpe), a Frozen Yogurt Shop, The Box office, and a fun Cineplex magazine game! In the arcade I played a couple of games and in the yogurt shop, I had a chocolate frozen yogurt!

 

 

 

The Second Floor has 4 theaters, a party room, and one food popcorn stand!

 

The Third Floor has the four VIP theaters and the Ultra AVX with D-box screen! As well, with a candy bar in the VIP and a popcorn stand in the Ultra AVX section! Also, a small gallery of movie freeze frames from a lot of famous films!

PADDINGTON!

More movie stuff on march break! Today, I went to see Paddington (in the morning) and I have been very exited to see this movie for quite a while. I saw this at the South Keys Cinema, and the movie it self was funny, charming, and great for the family. Paddington has really good acting, and good plot (not like the next toy story script or something like that), and the Cutest Bear ever in cinema, or at least in the 21th century. I would recommend Paddington for any family, and anybody who criticises films not to hardly. See you in my next post!

Wild Tales and Little Stories!

So, yesterday and Today, I went to the bytowne cinema, for the first time this march break and this year, to see 2 very good feature length film. The first one (that I watched yesterday) is "Wild Tales", a foreign film from Argentina which got nominated for an Oscar for best foreign language film. The film is an anthology, so which means the film is made out of short stories around on theme. This film has 6 short stories, and it's and interesting black comedy of society in Argentina. Wild Tales is rated 14A here in Canada! The film is definitely not for kids, because of it's over the top violence and a lot of subtitled cussing. Right before we move on, my favorite short story from the movie would be the shortest, the plane crash scene, which only lasted 3 minutes and my least favorite one would be the second last one, where the police is trying to find a person who killed a lady who was pregnant in a car accident (caused by drunk driving), and the person who caused the incident was a son of a very rich person. The second movie is much more kid friendly. It's called Minuscule Valley of the lost ants, which is part of the divercine film festival. The film is a silent cgi animated film, and it's about a lost lady bug who has a broken wing (this sounds like the character nemo, from finding nemo, but as a lady bug) and tries to find his parents (but in reality, they abandoned the lady bug), and in his adventure he meets a cast of interesting characters and a interesting plot behind something that I won't spoil. The film has great animation, and it more of a rate G movie than anything. So, those were the two movies that I saw at the Bytowne this first March Break Weekend. See you in my next post!
